That is, when insulin sends a special signal to the cell's receptor, the process of glucose entering the cell from the blood begins, and eventually ends.When cells delay taking up sugar from the blood, blood sugar levels rise. People with diabetes have cells that cannot take glucose from the blood through the normal process. As a result, their blood glucose levels rise. This abnormal presence of glucose in diabetic patients' blood can occur for various reasons. For example, some people may not produce enough insulin. In others, the insulin their body produces cannot work due to a lack of the necessary receptors on the cell membrane.

Previously, insulin collected from various animals was used in the human body. That was expensive. Using it caused various problems for many patients. Nowadays, insulin is produced using genetic engineering and biotechnology. Through this, large quantities of insulin can be produced, with qualities identical to insulin produced in the human body. In this process, the insulin gene is collected from human DNA and inserted into bacteria and yeast, where insulin is then produced.We know that bacteria reproduce in just 20 minutes. That means after this time, one bacterium becomes two full bacteria. Two become four. In this way it reproduces rapidly. In this way, millions of cells can be created within a short span of time, and these bacteria can be used to produce human insulin. Because human insulin genes are inserted into bacteria through genetic engineering in the laboratory, those special bacteria produce human insulin. That insulin is then purified and bottled to make it ready for use.
